Melaundry
Case study — 02

01 — The problem
A small, family-run laundry shop was running on manual notes and spreadsheets. Customer records, orders, billing, and sales all lived on paper. As orders piled up, accuracy and speed suffered.
Melaundry was built to digitize the whole flow. It started as my Capstone project at Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas.
02 — What it does
Customer profiles carry contact details, addresses, and service history. Orders move through Pending → Processing → Completed → Delivered, with automatic fee computation and printable PDF receipts at the end of the line.
Payments cover cash and QR-based e-payments. Daily and monthly sales summaries replaced the end-of-day spreadsheet ritual.
03 — Built for real use
Role-based authentication keeps the owner's full access separate from employees' limited view. A real-time dashboard tracks orders and revenue as they happen.
It isn't a demo. The shop uses it in production every day.
04 — The stack
A classic LAMP-style build, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL on XAMPP, chosen because it's simple to host and maintain for a small business.
